In the wars that take place in the world, one of the parties leaves victorious. The state of Azerbaijan emerged victorious from the war in which it participated in order to protect its independence and territorial integrity. It did this by crushing the enemy's head and spreading the sound of the iron fist to many countries.

President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the next commando military unit in our country on the eve of "June 26 - Armed Forces Day". At the opening ceremony, the head of the country touched upon a number of important topics in his speech.

After the Second Karabakh War, more attention was paid to the military in our country. Commando forces are being created in the Ministry of Defense, several military units are already operating and new military units are planned to be opened. After the heroic annals - the Patriotic War, the special interest of Azerbaijani youth in the army and the defense of the homeland has increased.

"The Second Karabakh War" - wrote its name in golden letters in human history. The strength and professionalism of the Special Forces played an invaluable and exceptional role in this history. Taking into account all this and modern combat operations, the creation of a new Commando Force was set by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev as a task, and this task is being successfully implemented. The Azerbaijani Army won a victory over the enemy. He duly performed his duty. Our army fought with all its forces during the war. In this regard, after the war, additional steps are being taken to build the army, and it is greatly needed.

The Armenian side still cannot come to terms with its defeat. As always, the Armenian government shows its revanchist position today. In this regard, further strengthening of our army is the number one task. Of course, complex measures are taken to achieve this. After the Patriotic War, the process of acquiring new weapons continues, both the introduction of new unmanned aerial vehicles to our country, and the introduction of long-range missiles to our country, those missiles that have great destructive power and high accuracy.

Under the leadership of Mr. President, the economic policy of our country is in a successful position. Obtaining additional funds in the state budget today is a clear example of this. These funds were directed mainly in two directions - firstly, the restoration of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, and secondly, the strengthening of our military potential. Today, one of the priority issues is the building of the army, and the other is the restoration of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur.

In one of his speeches, the head of the country Mr. Ilham Aliyev said, "I know what to do, how and when to do it." The wise politician Ilham Aliyev, who knows the time and place of everything from birth, restored the territorial integrity of our lands at the right time. The events that took place in the direction of the Azerbaijan-Armenia conditional border, the military operations in our Karabakh region where Armenians live, and the creation of a border crossing point two months ago on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border in the direction of Lachin are indicators of our very strong political will.

If we look back two and a half years after the end of the war, we will see that strong political will, power, logic, and international law stood behind each of our steps, and each next step was a logical continuation of the previous step.
After the victory in the Patriotic War, the prestige of our country increased even more in the international arena. People who already know our country recognize us as a victorious country. The conclusion of the peace talks with Armenia today is necessary both for us and more so for Armenia. This peace agreement should be signed based on the norms and principles of international law.

One of the conditions of Azerbaijan is the opening of the Zangezur corridor. This is our rightful demand. Especially if we take into account that Armenia undertook this obligation in the act of capitulation signed on November 10, 2020. However, this obligation has not been fulfilled so far. Our other condition is that the armed units of the Armenian army should be withdrawn from the Karabakh region. This is one of the obligations undertaken by Armenia. This is not implemented.

Despite the fact that we are a country that has just come out of the war, large-scale construction works are being carried out in Karabakh and East Zangezur. The head of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, kept his promise to the former IDPs that they would restore their native lands. This glorious history will exist as long as the world lasts.

Then the Commander-in-Chief began to work, despite the importance of establishing a military school in Azerbaijan in the Soviet era. The creation of a military school named after Nakhchivansky was aimed at creating a professional officer class in Azerbaijan. Heydar Aliyev, the national leader who loves his people, did this.

Mr. President also spoke about celebrating the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Shusha city. This step had a great meaning. After the liberation of Shusha, the Armenian state and government were forced to accept their defeat. Shusha is the embodiment of our strength, indomitable spirit, bravery and heroism of our heroic soldiers.

Long live the Azerbaijani Army, Karabakh is Azerbaijan!
