The test phase of the teacher certification process ends today.

Tehsil.biz informs that the purpose of the certification is to check the level of professionalism and professional suitability of teachers with higher and secondary education who are engaged in pedagogical and management activities in general educational institutions, to achieve their professional development and learn their training needs. At the first stage of the certification process, 11,000 primary school teachers who are subordinate to the Baku City Education Department, Absheron-Khizi, Guba-Khachmaz and Ganja-Dashkasan Regional Education Departments, as well as working in general educational institutions directly subordinated to the Ministry of Science and Education, were involved in the certification process.

In the test phase of the certification of educators, 60 questions are presented to them regarding general education programs, teaching methods and teaching strategies in the subject they teach. Each correct answer to the question is evaluated with 1 point. Wrong answers or leaving the question unanswered are counted as 0 points and do not affect the correct answers.

As an incentive measure related to certification, 10 percent will be paid to the salary of teachers with a passing score, and 35 percent to the salary of teachers with a score above 50. Persons who do not participate in the certification for valid reasons or do not collect the minimum points required for certification will have the right to participate in the re-certification while keeping their job for a period of 1 year.

In the certification, which consists of two stages (test and interview stage), those who are employed for the first time (for a period of 5 years), pregnant women, women who are on social leave until the child is three years old and who work in a relevant position (profession) less than 1 year after the end of that leave (with their child alone raising men) will not participate.

It should be noted that the test phase started on August 30.
