Administered effectively, past papers are the best way to prepare students for the experience of an examination.

Using past papers to identify and address gaps in learning

Past papers are a great tool to help you identify any gaps in your learners' knowledge. It might be helpful to use them when you first return to teaching in school, as they will help guide your teaching in line with your students needs. You can also use them alongside the mark schemes to help students become familiar with answering exam questions and meeting the assessment objectives.

Past papers are also great for showing students how much they have learned and provide valuable evidence for learning. This can help to support conversations with students, parents and school leaders, particularly if they are concerned about the effects of time away from school.

Our past papers are available from Cambridge Primary to Cambridge Advanced and as a Cambridge school, you have access to all our past examination materials.

Past papers are available for Cambridge International schools from the School Support HubCambridge Primary and Cambridge Lower Secondary support sites.

Some past papers are also available on our website and are free for anyone to access:

Select your subject and find past papers and specimen papers in the left hand side bar.

June 2020 papers

We will be releasing the unseen June 2020 papers alongside the mark schemes in August. They will not be issued with grade thresholds. When you have completed your marking, you can choose to give your students their raw score with a short commentary on their script.

For all other series, you can refer to the corresponding Grade Threshold document and Principal Examiner reports.
