Elza Masimova: "I am happy to live in the love and memories of my students"

Elza Masimova was born in 1965 in Ganja in a family of engineers. In 1983-1987 he studied at the faculty of Azerbaijani language and literature of Ganja (then Kirovabad) State Pedagogical Institute. In 1987 he began his pedagogical activity in Ivanovka village of Ismayilli region. At present, a teacher of the Azerbaijani language and literature works at the secondary school No. 12 named after V.Aliyev in Ganja.

- Ms. Elza, how many years have you been engaged in pedagogical activities, and what have you gained from teaching during this period?

- The 2021-2022 academic year is the 34th year of my pedagogical activity. This long road began in the Ismayilli region, located in the southern foothills of the Greater Caucasus, surrounded by a series of mountains and peaks. After graduating from the Ganja State Pedagogical Institute in 1987, I went to the village of Ivanovka in the Ismayilli region, which reflects the tolerance and multicultural values of our people. My pedagogical activity as a teacher of Azerbaijani language and literature at Ivanovka village secondary school was more interesting. Here is a rich and memorable 4 years of life surrounded by Russian, Lezgi, Azerbaijani students and teachers ... Then, in the 1991-1992 academic year, I returned to my native Ganja and connected my destiny with the secondary school No. 12 where I work now. What I have gained as a teacher does not end with counting. This name has earned me the respect of my people. I am happy to live in the love and memories of my students.

- What innovations and innovations do you use when teaching your subject to your students?

- Defines a set of appropriate methods and tools in accordance with the purpose and content of the lesson, the ability of students to understand, I teach my lessons more effectively with the help of a computer, projector and electronic board. Due to the pandemic, using ZOOM and Microsoft Teams helped me in my work. Like other teachers, I used ZOOM and Microsoft Teams when classes were taught remotely.

- What motivates and motivates you in your pedagogical activity?

- Regardless of the period, teaching is a difficult but also the most honorable profession. Every teacher working in the field of pedagogy must have didactic skills, comprehensive knowledge, high intellectual level, computer skills. He must be patient in the most difficult situation and not make a partial decision. Because it is not easy to raise a person who is the most valuable capital of the state as a good child for the homeland and a person for the society. We have a difficult job ... We are tired, but each teacher individually finds a motivating, stimulating reason and is revived.

I love my students very much. Their enthusiasm for innovation, their desire to discuss every innovation with me and apply it to the lesson, new ways of working, resources, integration opportunities, questions and assignments, interesting looks on my face ... How can a teacher not be motivated to hear this? Modern times require the ability to use technical means. That's why we still have a lot of work to do!

- You have been awarded the honorary title of Honored Teacher. Let's admit that the responsibility of this name is also great ...

- Honored teacher is an honorary title. Gives a sense of pride. I have both a sense of pride and a sense of responsibility. Because this name has weight. I will continue to try to justify the confidence shown by my work.

- What would you say to those who want to become teachers?

- I would say that if you can bring up students who are ready to sacrifice their lives for our lands, who are proud of martyrdom, true citizens - patriots, talented young people born with intellectual level, armed with self-confidence, then choose this honorable profession!
