Last week, Lankaran Vocational High School participated in the Republican scientific-practical conference "Culinary Culture of the Southern Region of Azerbaijan" organized by the Lankaran City Executive Power, the Azerbaijan National Culinary Center and the Lankaran Regional Culture Department.

According to Tehsil.biz, the purpose of the event is to study the culinary culture of the southern region on a scientific basis, to promote the creation of a culinary museum and to promote the inclusion of culinary samples of the region in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.

At the conference, food products produced at the enterprise and souvenir carpets woven by lyceum graduates were demonstrated in the pavilion allocated for Lankaran Vocational High School. Nusrat Salimov, the production training master of the lyceum's chef group, organized a master class for the participants on the preparation of the national fast food product "Shami Burger", which he invented. Also, a tasting of black tea prepared at Lankaran Vocational High School was held together with the participants of the event. During the event, the importance of scientific study and promotion of the culinary culture of Lankaran, known as a tourist destination, was stressed. Chairman of the Azerbaijan National Culinary Association Tahir Amiraslanov has invited students of Lankaran Vocational High School to participate in the "Young Chefs" competition organized by the organization. At the end of the event, a carpet woven in the national context was presented to the chairman of the Association on behalf of Lankaran Vocational High School.
