Among those who entered the Baku Engineering University (BMU) in the 2021/2022 academic year, there are those who won the title of out-of-competition student.

It should be noted that in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 229 dated May 20, 2019, the winners of international and national subject Olympiads, international competitions, contests are admitted to higher education institutions out of competition.

Sadig Malikov, a computer science student at the Faculty of Engineering, who was admitted to BMU out of competition, also tested himself in the exams held by the State Examination Center (SEC) and scored 615.1 points.

He graduated from secondary school No. 3 in Saray settlement of Absheron region with a special certificate and a gold medal. In 2018, he took first place in the Mathematics and Logic Olympiad (among 8th grades in the region) dedicated to the 95th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, organized jointly by the Education Department of Absheron District and the Pythagorean Academy, and was awarded a gold medal.

In 2019, S.Malikov, who participated in the III Winter Science Festival organized by the Student Scientific Society of BMU, was awarded the 2nd place in the category of mathematics.

S.Malikov participated in the Republican round of subject Olympiads in 2019 on mathematics, in 2020 in the final round of the Republican stage of subject Olympiads (computer science) and was awarded with certificates. In addition, in the 2019/2020 academic year, he was awarded a diploma and a bronze medal for being awarded third place in the Republican subject Olympiads in computer science.

Another of our students admitted to BMU out of competition, Gulnar Akbarli, who chose the specialty of Biology teacher of the Pedagogical Faculty of the university, graduated from secondary school No. 10 named after R. Afandiyev in Sheki with a special certificate and a silver medal. He participated in the 2019 Biology Olympiads and reached the finals.

In 2020, G. Alakbarli succeeded in participating in the 8th International Hippo Olympiad, which invites students from all over the world to healthy competition in English and develops cooperation between teachers.

Our student achieved a positive result in the selection exam for the international team of the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) in natural sciences (chemistry, physics, biology) and was involved in classes, laboratory training, as well as special classes.

In 2020 and 2021, he joined the training team of the International Biology Olympiad (IBO) and achieved positive results in the exams. In the qualifying round of the training team, he took the 5th place.

In 2021, he reached the finals of the International Online STEM Olympiad in Biology and was awarded a certificate.

G.Akbarli, who was awarded 2 silver medals in the Republican subject olympiads (biology subject), was also awarded the second place in biology in the Republican round of subject olympiads in 2021.

G. Alakbarli, in addition, participated in the "Write-On!" Held by EducationUSA Azerbaijan in February 2020. He was awarded a certificate for his participation in the essay competition, as well as for winning first place in the video competition "Stat at home, stay creative", which took place in May.
