Dean of the Faculty of Theology of the Azerbaijan Theological Institute (ATI), Associate Professor Elnura Azizova delivered a speech at the international forum "IV Forum of CIS Scientists: Islamic Thought in the CIS - Globalization and Localism" in Kiev, Ukraine.

Speaking on "Prospects of Islamic studies in higher religious education in the post-Soviet country: the example of the Azerbaijan Theological Institute", Associate Professor E. Azizova spoke about the historical development of religion and Islamic studies in higher education in Azerbaijan in the post-Soviet period.

The speaker analyzed the prospects of the Azerbaijan Theological Institute, which is the first higher education institution to implement a program of Islamic studies at the undergraduate level during the independence period, and informed the forum participants about the AII.
