Today is the day of martyrdom of Ramil Agayev, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AUAC), who was killed in the battles for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War. On this occasion, a memorial service was held at the faculty where the martyr graduated.

After honoring the memory of our martyr who died for the territorial integrity of our homeland, carnations were laid on the bas-relief of Ramil Agayev at the Faculty of Architecture.

Opening the event, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Zahida Mammadova spoke about Ramil's glorious life, student years and heroism in the Great Patriotic War. Ramili, who is remembered as an exemplary student, also thanked and expressed his condolences to his parents, who raised him as a patriotic, fearless and zealous son.

AzUAC Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Akif Gasimov stressed that the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, who put an end to 30 years of longing for the land and the country, and wrote the most glorious pages in the history of Azerbaijan, will be remembered forever. Saying that their way of life is an example for each of our young people, the vice-rector advised the students to be as brave and courageous as our heroes, to love their homeland and land as they do.

It should be noted that Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Hasan Hasanov and Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee Bayram Aslanov visited the Sabirabad region, where Ramil was buried today, to visit the grave of the martyr, pray for his soul and offer condolences to his parents.
