A project to increase economic and financial literacy in remote rural schools has been launched with the organization of the "Financial Literacy" club in the Mololon village secondary school of Masalli region.

According to the project leader Konul Ganbarova, the main goal of the project is to educate students in remote rural schools on savings and waste, the history of money, the concept of budget, to increase their knowledge on the use of modern economic and financial instruments and to form a culture of savings.

The objectives of the project are to promote the project in 6 remote rural schools in Masalli district, the participation of experts and special guests in the project, educational materials on economics and finance, active games with economic content and the creation of a financial literacy circle.

The project will consist of 5 stages, covering advocacy, training, competition, club creation and reporting. Thus, the project began with the formation of a group of volunteers. At the same time, a board has been established, whose main task is to prepare and present to the public booklets, posters, rollups and press releases about the project.

In the second phase of the project, 36-hour training sessions will be organized with 30 students from 6 remote rural schools for a total of 6 days. At the end of the training, the most interesting presentations, essays and other small projects will be awarded with the help of specially created juries.

The works of the contestants will be covered in detail in a magazine to be published at the end of the project. In addition to the winners of the competition, participants and volunteers who are active during the project will be awarded prizes and diplomas in several categories.

Upon completion of the trainings and competition, “Financial Literacy” clubs will be established in 6 participating rural schools to ensure the sustainability of the project.

Expected results after the project implementation: increase of economic and financial literacy of students of 6 remote rural schools, formation of savings culture, education on savings and waste, history of money and budget concept, modernization of 6 remote rural schools and increase of worldview, 6 remote rural schools “ Financial Literacy ”clubs, as well as the development of such projects.

It should be noted that the project won the 5th grant competition of the Ministry of Education for Development and Innovation in Education. This project will last from September 15 to December 15.
