Oktay Amrahov, a student of the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), also attended a meeting of President Ilham Aliyev with representatives of the Khojavend community on the first anniversary of the liberation of the Hadrut settlement on October 9. His family became IDPs after the occupation of Khatai village of Khojavend region during the First Karabakh War and settled in Baku.
 
Born in Baku in 2004, Oktay Amrahov is a first-year student majoring in Oil and Gas Engineering at BANM. He is a graduate of secondary school No. 192 located in Zabrat settlement, Sabunchu district. He scored 646.4 points in the entrance exams.

Sharing his impressions of the meeting with the President, the BANM student said that he was very excited during the meeting with the President and even forgot to say his name out of excitement. By meeting with the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Oktay also achieved one of his greatest dreams:

"I was impressed by the simplicity, sincerity and kindness of Mr. President. He met everyone sincerely and listened to everyone's opinion. I also approached the President and greeted him and said that I was a student of the Baku Higher Oil School. Our President also told me to greet the students. It is a great honor for both me and our High School to hear kind words from Mr. President. ”

Speaking about the choice of BANM, Oktay Amrahov said that the recommendation of the chemistry teacher played a big role in this choice. Following his advice, he chose to study Oil and Gas Engineering at the University and achieved his goal with high results.

Oktay Amrahov's goal is to be one of the most successful, hard-working students in the High School.
