Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee of the University Bayram Aslanov and Dean of the MIT Faculty Sabir Mammadov visited Arkharasi village of Salyan region, where the martyr's family lives, to attend the anniversary of the martyrdom of Kanan Hasanov, a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanics and Informatics, on October 11. , visited the grave. On behalf of the rector of the university, faculty and students, they expressed condolences to their parents and prayed for their souls.

It should be noted that Kanan Elshad oglu Hasanov was born on September 16, 1997 in Arkharasi village of Salyan region. In 2014, he studied in group 884a of the Faculty of Mechanics and Information Technology of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. He went to military service in 2018. He showed great courage during the Second Karabakh War. He was a direct participant in the battles for Talysh village, Tapgaragoyunlu, Sugovushan and Hadrut. On October 11, 2020, he rose to the peak of martyrdom during the attack on the Armenian post in the direction of Sugovushan.

 By the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Kanan Hasanov was posthumously awarded the medals "For the Motherland" and "For the Liberation of Lachin".
