An exhibition of contemporary Latvian textile artists Irisa Blumate and her student Iveta Vesenane will open at the Gazelli Art House on October 15-16.

According to Tehsil.biz, the exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Azerbaijan and Gazelli Art House.

Both artists reflect the development of tapestry throughout history through intergenerational dialogue, exploring the different approaches and methods around them. It is a way of research that evaluates the traditions, skills and knowledge of applied art.

ALL IN TWO is a retrospective and diverse work by both artists that reflects the development of textile art over time, change, new ideas and feelings.

Both artists studied at the same school - the Latvian Academy of Arts. Teachers and students have participated in many international and national exhibitions throughout their lives.

Textile art has always been an integral part of Latvian culture and has always been a popular art form. This art form has a deep and historical tradition rooted in the heritage of folk art values ​​and professional skills.
