October 5 is celebrated in our country as "Teachers' Day".

In this regard, the State Agency for Vocational Education awarded a group of pedagogical educators working in vocational education institutions with letters of appreciation for their contribution and successful activities in the field of vocational education.

At present, a total of 3,219 teachers work in vocational education institutions operating in the country. 63% of teachers working in vocational schools are women and 37% are men.

It should be noted that the first international document "On the Status of Teachers" was signed on October 5, 1966 at a conference jointly organized by UNESCO and the International Labor Organization. Since 1994, this date has been established by UNESCO as World Teachers' Day. In independent Azerbaijan, this date was made official on October 5, 1993.
