The Ministry of Education has announced that teachers who do not participate in the vaccination process will be barred from entering educational institutions. It was stated that employees must obtain a contraindication certificate before the start of the school year. The adviser to the Minister of Education also clarified how the salaries of teachers who do not want to participate in this process will be paid.
Teachers without COVID-19 passports and contraindications will not be admitted to higher or secondary education institutions.
According to Adviser to the Minister of Education Rustam Agayev, currently more than 80 percent of educators have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Strict monitoring will be carried out on the basis of the prepared lists. The Minister's Adviser noted that the issue of payment of salaries to teachers who do not participate in vaccination and do not have a certificate of contraindications was discussed.
Teachers who are not allowed to enter educational institutions will not have any disruptions during school hours. In addition, the number of vaccination centers in schools and universities will be increased. Students will also be checked at the entrances to universities, the adviser said.
Rustam Agayev said that no concrete decision has been made yet on the participation of 11th grade students in the vaccination process.
