The closure of schools in March 2020 due to the spread of the coronavirus and the predominance of online education over the previous school year have left the educational community hesitant about the format of the new school year. Yesterday, the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev announced that the new school year will gradually begin on September 22 and 29, which has revived the purchase of school uniforms. But I wonder if there are as many school uniforms as there are students and if there are changes in grades?

BAKU.WS reports with reference to xezerxeber.az that the start of the new school year at a new time and the announcement of this news yesterday increased the demand for traditional school uniforms today. Education Minister Emin Amrullayev's statement moved parents who were queuing to buy school uniforms.

For the first time this year, classes for lower and upper grade students will begin at different times. But when it comes to buying clothes, there are parents of lower grade students as well as parents of upper grade students. Ali, a ninth-grader, says he came to pick up his school uniform as soon as classes started.

Etibar Azimov, sales manager of Baku Sewing House, says that there has been an increase in the sale of school uniforms after the announcement yesterday that classes will be held in the traditional way. The growing demand has not resulted in any shortages.

Parents preparing for the new school year will not face any changes in the price of school uniforms this year either.

It should be noted that the number of secondary school students in our country is more than 1.5 million, and the last change in the price of school uniforms for them was made in 2017.
