Vocational classes have been operating in Astara City Secondary School No. 5 since 2020 within the framework of the “Project on Organization of Vocational Classes in General Education Institutions” implemented by the Ministry of Education. New specialties have been added to the vocational classes created at the school. Along with the modules "tailor assistant", "cook assistant", "plumber" and "carpenter's assistant", students will be taught "agronomist" and "information technology".

AZERTAC's regional correspondent reports that in the new academic year, a vocational class will be organized in one of the secondary schools of Astara region - Vago village secondary school.

In the 10p class of the school, 20 students will continue their education in vocational classes.

At the initial stage, boys will become "locksmiths" and girls will become "tailors". In the next stage, boys will be trained as "carpenters" and girls as "cooks".

Students studying in vocational classes will receive both a high school diploma and various professions.

It should be noted that the project "Organization of vocational classes" implemented by the Ministry of Education has been operating since the 2019-2020 academic year.

The purpose of creating vocational classes for students of X-XI grades is to provide students with basic knowledge and skills in various professions, to prepare them for the labor market, as well as vocational education by informing them about their specialties.

One of the main goals of the project is to inculcate basic entrepreneurial skills in students, to provide the labor market with professionally trained and able-bodied people.
