The building of the secondary school in Kechili village of Shamkir region is in disrepair.

Villagers who have suffered from this problem for years told Baku TV that neither parents want to send their children to school, nor do they intend to go to school.

Due to the fact that the village is located in the foothills, the situation becomes even more difficult in the winter months. Due to the lack of a heating system in the school, firewood is used.

Kechili village is one of the five largest settlements in Shamkir region. The school, built in the 1970s, now has more than 600 students. During the Soviet era, students from several villages also studied at this educational institution. The name Plankand on the school dates back to the Soviet era. Although the name of the village was changed in 1994, it seems that the authorities have not seen the plaque for 27 years.

According to the Ministry of Education, the repair and construction of the secondary school in Kechili village will be considered in the investment program for next year.
