Namik Isayev, the father of Naida Isayeva, a teacher who committed suicide after being blackmailed last year, claims that the criminal case has not been investigated.

In his appeal to Qafqazinfo, Isayev said that since May 2020, photos and videos taken during the lessons at the school where his daughter Naida Isayeva works as a teacher, and phone numbers have been shared on social networks: “My daughter was blackmailed with immoral words. He did not even hesitate to share the telephone numbers of my wife and son.

My daughter committed suicide by throwing herself out of the building on September 16 last year, embellished by the fact that the case was not properly considered by the authorities and the constant insults of the person who embarrassed her.

Although the Narimanov District Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the fact, the person who caused my daughter's suicide has not been found yet. The profiles used by that person were submitted to the investigation. Prosecutor Fahmin Hasanov, who is conducting the investigation, says the case will be terminated.

The complainant stated that although his daughter had once appealed to the Baku Main Police Department, the State Security Service, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, and the Surakhani District Police Office, to no avail:

"It simply came to our notice then that my daughter had died. The Narimanov District Prosecutor's Office does not hire people to be interrogated. Sometimes they threaten us, sometimes they avoid investigation by saying "don't worry". I want the person who caused my daughter's death to be found and punished. "

The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office said in response to Qafqazinfo's inquiry that the Narimanov District Prosecutor's Office has launched a criminal case under Article 125 (incitement to suicide) of the Criminal Code in connection with the suicide of Naida Isayeva. Witness statements were taken, operational instructions were issued, as well as relevant inquiries. An investigation is underway. A thorough, complete and objective investigation of the case, as well as the adoption of a legal decision will be ensured.

It should be noted that the complainant Namik Isayev stated that he was a Karabakh veteran and was wounded in the fighting in the direction of Fizuli region in 1993-1995.
