From August 10, the admission of students to vocational education institutions for the 2021-2022 academic year will begin. As last year, the admission of students to vocational education institutions will be carried out electronically free of charge. Those wishing to receive vocational training must register on the portal.edu.az platform on August 10-20. The admission process is open to graduates of general or full secondary education.

After checking the accuracy of the information in the electronic applications of registered applicants, the selection of the participant by specialties is confirmed by the system. Admission is based on the average score of the applicant in the relevant subjects specified in the certificate. Everyone involved in the admission process has the opportunity to choose from a maximum of 5 specialties.

Information on the results of the applicants will be posted in the "My Personal Cabinet" section and will be provided via "SMS" notification. Candidates who successfully pass the competition will be invited to the next stage to submit the original documents to the institution where they were admitted.

It should be noted that the enrollment of students for the 2021-2022 academic year will be held in 21 vocational schools with 120 specialties in 21,260 places. The admission plan was increased by 9.6 percent compared to last year. In the new academic year, along with expanding the scope of vocational education, it is planned to start teaching new specialties. 4 new specialties will be taught at the level of technical vocational education, and 15 new specialties will be taught at the level of higher technical vocational education. The proposed new specialties are formed taking into account the requirements of the labor market.

In the 2021-2022 academic year, for the first time, higher vocational education will be taught in 7 vocational schools located in 5 regions. 840 state-allocated places have been allocated in the admission process for 15 specialties. Higher technical vocational education level - the highest level of vocational education, which means training for a sub-bachelor's degree.
