Pupils of children's and youth sports and chess schools under the Ministry of Education successfully performed as part of the national team at the European Youth Wrestling Championship in Dortmund, Germany.

Turan Bayramov, a student of Ganja City Children's Sports and Chess School No. 1, and Kanan Heybatov, a student of Absheron District Children's Sports and Chess School, became European champions, defeating all their rivals.

Aydin Ahmadov, another pupil of the Absheron children's sports and chess school, was awarded a silver medal at the European Championship.
