"This year, the Eid al-Adha prayer will be held in Azerbaijan on July 21."

The statement came from Haji Shahin Hasanli, an authorized representative of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) and imam of the Mashhadi Dadash mosque, Tehsil.biz reports.

He added that it is not possible to say exactly what the format of the holiday prayers will be: "The participation of more people in the holiday prayers will depend on the epidemiological situation. No official decision has been made yet."

At present, congregational prayers are held in mosques under certain conditions and mosques are organized. If the number of people vaccinated before the Eid prayers increases, and the dynamics of infection is low, more people may be able to attend the Eid prayers. "

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, Eid al-Adha will be celebrated in Azerbaijan on July 20-21 this year.
