The Education Student Loan Fund will fund more students from the next academic year.

The statement came from Education Minister Emin Amrullayev at a press conference today, Tehsil.biz reports.

He said that the issues arising from the decree will be regulated by certain rules, which will be developed and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers and approved within the next month:

"These loans will be very low, about 2 percent. Loans are for the socially vulnerable. The rules will be announced for those who are not from a socially vulnerable group. Along with the need, the entrance scores will also be considered, and a high result will be one of the main conditions for us. Appropriate discounts will be considered for students who are successful and receive a loan. But in terms of civic responsibility and sustainability, other students will have a chance to study as the money paid is returned. The Fund's funding may be further increased in the future. It will be a long-term loan, and the student will repay the loan in installments for about 20 years after graduation. He will be given the right to a short-term respite if he is unable to pay for one reason or another, is in the military, does not work and in other cases.
