On June 15, Shahlar Askerov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education, turns 80.

Shahlar taught us physics at the Azerbaijan State University (now BSU) in the 1980s. He did a great job in the army of physicists who grew up at that time. No one can deny this. The great physicist and Nobel laureate Werner Heisenberg came up with an interesting idea: "Everyone who knows his field perfectly is also a good philosopher." In this sense, our teacher is also a good philosopher. Most of the scientists we know are content to play the flute in their fields. However, Shahlar is deeply involved in teaching physics as well as education.

How do I know Shahlar Askerov? Like a great physicist? Like an honored scientist, professor? Who is a public figure? Is an elder like a friend and guardian? Like my teacher? Like an education expert? It is difficult to answer these questions unequivocally. My teacher Shahlar Asgarov is a scientist with sharp rational thinking and analytical skills. My teacher Shahlar Asgarov is a strong man in his faith and political position. Shahlar teacher can combine the logical analysis of an event with an emotional background. This quality is the product of common sense. Although Shahlar Asgarov represents the most rational science, he is intellectual in his way of thinking. I've always seen him learn. Shahlar Muallim has the most original opinion when talking about any issue at any event. This makes me very happy as a student. By the way, let me tell you a fact that proves his greatness: He is proud to learn something from his students. This is one of the important qualities of a scientist.

His fundamental work, Perfect Thinking, is the philosophy of thought.

One of the signs of a true scientist, along with self-awareness, is self-love and self-respect. Rather, love and respect for humanity must pass through the prism of personal example. Shahlar teacher is able to respect himself as well as others. Ask the great scientist, Nobel Laureate Bertrand Russell, who can be considered a true gentleman.

His answer is: "A gentleman is a person with whom everyone is a gentleman, whether he wants to or not." Shahlar Askerov's sincerity inevitably forces his interlocutor to be sincere.

I wish my teacher, Professor Shahlar Askerov, a long life and good health.
