On May 31, 2021, the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations hosted an international scientific-practical conference on "Problems of the impact of the pandemic on the socio-economic development of the world" dedicated to the 98th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Rector of the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor Huseyn Garashov opened the conference, which was held via the Microsoft Teams platform.

In his speech, the rector spoke about the impact of the pandemic on public life, the urgent measures taken to prevent the spread of a new type of coronavirus in our country, online education and its consequences. The rector said that 70 people representing 19 organizations attended the conference.
