A conference dedicated to the International Mother Language Day was held at BSU

Baku State University (BSU) Faculty of Philology organized an international virtual conference "Languages of the Turkic states" dedicated to February 21 - International Mother Language Day, organized by the "Turkology" circle operating under the Student Scientific Society. The event, organized on the Zoom platform, was attended by well-known Turkologists and young researchers from Turkic-speaking countries.

 

 

 

 

Opening the conference moderated by the chairman of the Student Scientific Society Maleyka Mirzali, Deputy Dean for Social Affairs and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Philology Anar Farajov spoke about the language of the modern world, the impact of globalization on national languages and the state care for the Azerbaijani language.

 

 

 

Professor of Kirikkale University of Turkey Bilgehan Atsiz Gokdag, Professor of the Department of Turkology of BSU Maharram Mammadli spoke about the history of development of Turkish languages, modern problems and research areas.

 

 

 

 

Then Zulfiya Agayeva, a doctoral student of the Turkology Department of BSU, spoke Azerbaijani, Beyza Turkkolu, a researcher at Gazi University in Turkey, Atash Gayipoglu, a student of the Faculty of Literature of Istanbul University in Turkey, Zarina Kalbiyeva, a lecturer at Manas University in Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.Turkology student Aliya Kairova gave detailed information about the Kazakh language, and Ikhtiyar Yakubov, a doctoral student at the Mugla Sitki Kochman University in Turkey, gave detailed information about the Uzbek language.
