"There are schools in all regions of Azerbaijan that need major construction and repair."

Tehsil.biz reports that,  Education Minister Emin Amrullayev said in a statement to reporters.

According to him, the Ministry of Education has a list of these schools: "These schools are divided into categories based on certain criteria. A little more than 3,500 of the 4,500 schools in the country are suitable for teaching. They have been rebuilt or overhauled in recent years. There are problems with our 300 seat rural schools, which are being replaced by modular schools. "

The minister said that they are mainly trying to rebuild larger schools: "Because they have a large capacity. Every year we renovate not one school in one region, but one or two schools in each region that need repair. We start from the school in the most miserable situation and move forward. The problem cannot be solved in a day or a year. The work is being carried out in stages."
