The Omicron strain of the coronavirus is more dangerous for children than the Delta strain, especially for children over 12 and under three years of age.
This was stated by Russian virologist Yevgeny Timakov.
According to him, previously coronavirus did not affect children.
Timakov also noted that in people over the age of 70, unfortunately, the complications of the strain and the death rate are the same as before.
According to him, Omicron is especially dangerous for people in this age group who are not vaccinated.
