A meeting on assessment at the level of primary education was held at the Baku City Department of Education (BCDE).

The meeting was attended by a highly qualified French DELF exam expert, Kathy Revl, an English teacher at the SABIS SUN International School in Baku, Anar Mustafazadeh, Head of the Quality Control Sector of the ITUC, and Methodists of the Training Support Center.

The main purpose of the meeting is to expand international relations in the field of education, to improve internal and external quality assurance in the assessment process in general education, to share relevant European experience, to assist in improving assessment methods and rules in Azerbaijani schools.

The expert, Kathy Revl, an English teacher at an international school, made a presentation on assessment at the primary school level during the meeting.

Participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with international experience on new approaches and research in school assessment, the application of formative, summative and final assessment, the development of tests in the field of assessment, self-assessment, the importance of open questions in school assessment.

The meeting discussed educational programs and assessment standards for primary grades in general education schools of Azerbaijan and France, and exchanged views.
