Teachers of the Baku State Vocational Training Center for the Processing Industry are dissatisfied with the management.

A group of teachers complained to Oxu.Az about this.

Teachers claim that admission to Russian-speaking groups is canceled at the Baku State Vocational Training Center for the Processing Industry:

“We work at the Baku State Vocational Training Center located at 4 Mehmandarov Street, Bakikhanov settlement. The center teaches in both Azerbaijani and Russian. However, this year the administration is trying to cancel admission to Russian-language groups for the next academic year.

Teachers are dissatisfied with this problem. Although we appealed to the director, we did not receive a positive response. Although the website of the Baku State Vocational Training Center for the Processing Industry has an Azerbaijani section in the selection process for admission, the Russian section has not been posted. We are told that we are canceling because Russian-speaking groups do not have enough children.

The administration notes that they appealed to the Baku State Agency for Vocational Education and they also agreed to close Russian-language groups. There will be no new classes after the end of Russian-language groups, which continue their education this year, and teachers are afraid of losing their jobs. They try to gain time by prolonging the solution of the problem, and this time they are working against us. The final exams have already started and the final exams on the general secondary education level have been held in many parts of the country. Thus, the State Examination Center (SEC) held final exams on general (9-year) secondary education on June 2-3 in 28 cities and regions of the country. How can those who want to choose for admission apply to our vocational school if they do not see the Russian department? ”

We sent a request to the Baku State Vocational Training Center for the Processing Industry. In response to a request from Oxu.Az, the agency said that the Baku State Vocational Training Center for the Processing Industry plans to train specialty groups for the Russian section for the 2021/2022 academic year:

“In general, the admission plans of vocational schools are planned taking into account the requirements of the private sector, the material and technical base of the vocational school and the qualifications of the teaching staff and are approved by the relevant government agencies. Detailed information on the admission plan for the 2021/2022 academic year is expected to be shared with the general public in August this year.

As for the photo-fact submitted by the teachers to substantiate their claims, it was stated that the information was not final:

"It is not desirable for you to refer to this information. Currently, there is no admission to vocational education institutions. The process will begin in August this year. As mentioned earlier, the company plans to teach specialty groups in the Russian section.
