"I think that in order to control the quality of education, what we call a national assessment, the organization of such research assessments that do not affect the results of in-school assessment of students, assesses the quality of subjects in general education, as well as the technical value of the electronic system. it can be prevented. "

This opinion was expressed to Tehsil.biz by Nadir Israfilov, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education, an education expert.

According to the expert, the first national assessment in the country was conducted in the form of a pilot project on May 5-14, 2003. Since then, the national assessment is organized every 3-5 years in order to assess the qualitative changes in different subjects in different classes, to study the factors that may affect students' learning outcomes, to collect reliable information about the state of education, to make suggestions, to identify specific directions for solving problems. .

"During the national assessment, goals (specific and general) are set in advance, which is to collect the necessary information to determine the effectiveness of new learning strategies, active learning methods, teachers 'creative approach to subject curricula, students' personal and civic development. resulting in ".

Nadir Israfilov said that one of the most important conditions for the successful implementation of national assessment research is the development of assessment tools that meet the requirements of authenticity and reliability.

"Unlike the previous assessments, the national assessment on June 1-11, 2021 will be conducted in the post-pandemic period, and the national assessment will be organized both in face-to-face (for selected grades) and online (on the Virtual School platform). Students in grades VI and IX will be asked questions on mathematics, language of instruction and foreign language, as well as science, respectively. As already reported, in the online assessment process, students in grades II-VIII and X will answer a variety of tasks in different subjects. In order to participate in the assessment, you will need to access the "Tests" sub-section in general student groups on the "Virtual School" platform and answer the test assignments on the relevant subjects placed there. "

The Deputy Chairman noted that the assessment is not only a matter of student learning outcomes, the purpose of the assessment in the form of systematic research is to collect reliable information, make suggestions, identify specific areas for problem solving.

"If the information collected on students' learning outcomes is not systematic, it is difficult to conduct monitoring based on certain principles (data collection, analysis, identification of directions, problem solving). A national assessment that identifies future activities is a study that meets the requirements of a systematic study. "

"It should be noted that the national assessment held in December last year in connection with the results of the first half of the year did not allow to study the results of students who could not finish the exam for technical reasons, this time the national assessment will create new opportunities for students who can not take the exam. Also, it is not necessary to assess all subjects in the national assessment. There was a time when only the language of instruction and mathematics were assessed. This year's national assessment includes other subjects identified for research. Perhaps other subjects will be included in the next assessments ... "he said.
