An online scientific-practical seminar dedicated to the 100th anniversary of prominent soil scientist, Professor Shahali Hasanov was held at the Department of General Geography of the History and Geography Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) on June 1. Professor Sh. Hasanov has long worked as the head of the Department of General Geography of ADPU, the dean of the Faculty of Geography.

The event was attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations of Baku State University (BSU), Associate Professor Shahin Panahov, employees of the departments of General Geography, Azerbaijan Geography and CTT, students of the group 1903-1904B majoring in geography teaching and family members of the scientist.

Head of the department, c.e.d., dos. Mahammad Abduyev emphasized the services of Professor Shahali Hasanov as a soil scientist, who has a unique way in the science of geography in Azerbaijan. The students made a presentation on the life, scientific and pedagogical activity of the honored teacher, doctor of geographical sciences, professor, veteran of the Great Patriotic War Shahali Hasanov. Colleagues of the scientist, dos. Shahin Panahov, dos. Dadash Alasgarov, docent Yaver Aliyev, docent Nureddin Ulukhanli, Assoc. Matanat Askerova, b / m Aygun Karimova shared their memories. At the end, the scientist's daughter Shamsiyya Kocharli and son Akif Hasanov expressed their gratitude for the event.

It should be noted that an extensive article by academician Garib Mammadov and associate professor of the department Matanat Askerova "Outstanding soil scientist" was published in the March 26, 2021 issue of the "Azerbaijan" newspaper on the 100th anniversary of the scientist.
